Mondriaan Boathouse
Ella Kruzinga (67) and Peter Vos (78) have been the proud inhabitants of the Mondriaan houseboat on the Bilderdijkkade for a year now. They received nice reactions from passersby about the beautiful colors of their houseboat, but since 2 weeks this has increased considerably. Why? The roof of the houseboat has been given a green cover! "We ourselves see nothing because the roof is quite high, but the neighbors are very enthusiastic," Ella says laughing. "We receive positive reactions on the streets from passers-by and neighbors. We even received a ticket in the bus from neighbors who said they were already happy with the colors of the boat but that their view is even more beautiful because of the green roof! "
